introduction to scorpion rick

So let’s begin with Scorpion Rick?  No, I am not a Scorpio I am actually a Virgo. I was given this title over the past 5 years of traveling the globe discussing my Caribbean Blue Scorpions and their potential to heal the world. I was not a year into this campaign when people began to greet me as ” Scorpion Rick”.  Let’s knock out the basic questions first.

How did I hear about these scorpions and this product?  Well, I come from the venture capital world and I received a call one day from someone looking for money to help develop a drug for cancer made from scorpion venom. At this point in my life I, fortunately, had little to no relationship with cancer. My beloved cat had recently been diagnosed with cancer and after spending over $14,000.000 the cat sadly passed- not from cancer -but from the side effects of the chemotherapy he was treated with. Often, this is what kills humans battling cancer.

Next, my partner’s Grandmother, whom I loved dearly, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in her lower body. All of a sudden I was getting hit from every angle with people and pets dying and diagnosed with cancer. Maybe it was a sign to pay attention?  I followed up with some basic research & exploration and soon gave my elderly friend a bottle of product and watched her not only gain her weight back but return to her active lifestyle. She lived another 13 months and died at the ripe age of 93 from congestive heart failure. At this point, the product and science had my attention. I dove in and dove in deep!

“What do you mean when you refer to live’s ‘Chapters’?” I often view life’s progression as a series of chapters in a book. My hope is to help ease the transition from one chapter to the next and see each chapter as a new beginning, a rebirth. Recently my childhood friend was going through a very difficult time. I flew home to be there for her. I outlined the chapters of our life:

Chapter 1 – basically being nurtured by our parents, relatives, schools, churches, and fundamentals that make us who we are.

Chapter 2 – taking these skills and building a career and family.

Chapter 3 – 50+  enjoying life and learning from our mistakes and our winnings in life.

My goal regardless of what chapter we may be in is to look and feel a chapter younger than the actual chapter we are living in! Our health, skin, relationships, and even our furry little friend’s health and well-being that complete who and what we become in life. I want Scorpion  Rick- Chapter 3 to reflect weekly on tips and inspirational information to help us all achieve this!

Back to the Scorpions. After learning of the science and the molecular breakdown of the venom I saw so many potential healing compounds. SKIN SKIN SKIN jumped off the page on day one. 1. Amino Acids 2. Proteins and 3. Peptides and enzymes. Three key components to revitalizing, restoring, and regenerating one’s skin to a natural healthy radiant glow.

The web is abundant with articles, studies, testimonies of people and pets saved by this “miracle cure”. I often think of the article of the elderly cuban man who carries a live scorpion in his cowboy hat and when his rheumatoid arthritis becomes so painful he can no longer bear the pain he allows the scorpion to sting him. YES, yet another side effect of the venom is its anti-inflammation claims. I guess it is much more than a claim when people are walking the streets of Cuba stinging themselves with live scorpions to have relief from the painful disease, arthritis.

The Caribbean Blue Scorpion is the only rare scorpion that carries these beneficial compounds in its venom.

So, don’t go stinging yourself with the Florida Brown Scorpion that used to find comfort beneath the outside lights of our home in the Florida keys! They were HUGE and so scary. I don’t advise you sting yourself with any scorpion but I am not going to take this argument on with our Cuban cowboy referenced above.

MRVL was started by myself and a long-time friend who always believed in my ventures and passion. How could one turn their back at this point on such an amazing science?  Into the woods, I went looking for my first scorpions. While in the woods I met a missionary with a home full of children that were barely surviving. No food, clean water, clothing, shoes…. really bad. I excused myself and stood silently on the side of the structure they called home and wept. I had never seen such poverty in my life. I stood there that day and made a deal with God. “Please help me with these scorpions and I will care for these children.”  I went home and started our non-profit www.todayspromises.org and began a long path of bringing hope to the impoverished children of the Caribbean islands, beginning with this group of children I met in the woods that day.

It has taken years to build a commercial farm and learn how to breed, feed, care and nurture these little creatures. Their well-being has always come first. I was raised on a farm and always had a half dozen wild critters in the house and understand what it takes to make a good home for a smaller companion. At this point, MRVL has enough scorpions to commercially produce the product lines under development and being sold at the market today while giving back 5% to build the dreams of Today’s Promises!
